Year of Experience: 3 years of working in CBP Program Funded by UNHCR. 

Mandatory Requirements:      

  • Skilled in camp level Administration.      
  • Good communication skills, Report Writing skill, and strong interpersonal skills.      
  • Team management and conflict management.      
  • Skilled in Coordination with the CIC office, UNHCR, and other relevant stakeholders.      
  • Skilled in Kobo, ODK, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.·      Knowledge in Akash TV program, Solar, and Community centre management.    
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).      
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse communities.     
  • Supportive Supervision.

Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the Sr. Officer-CC for implementing 'Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project' funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)

Position Title: Sr. Officer-CC

C. Key areas of performance /Responsibility /Accountability:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Community Centres to ensure safe, inclusive, and functional spaces for refugees.

  • Ensure effective implementation of centre-based and non-centre-based activities, including awareness sessions, cultural events, social dialogues, and international day observations.

  • Supervise scheduling and utilization of Community Centre spaces to meet diverse community needs.

  • implementation of recreational activities for children, adolescents, youth, women, and men to promote well-being, inclusion, and social cohesion.

  • Facilitate and oversee a wide range of community activities, including indoor and outdoor games, training sessions, libraries, storytelling, handicraft groups, and social events.

  • Ensure activities are inclusive and responsive to the needs of women, men, children, adolescents, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities.

  • Participate in volunteers’ activities to assess impact, identify gaps, and improve quality of service delivery.

  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers to address challenges and promote motivation and performance.

C.2 Administrative and Logistic Management

  • Oversee administrative management of Community Centre activities, including records, registers, inventories, and store management.

  • Coordinate and support Akash TV program, including planning, community mobilization, and documentation

  • Provide frontline administrative and operational support to Staff and volunteers, attendance tracking, leave management, and support cost processing .

  • Store management, liaison with HR and finance for Smooth CC operation

  • Ensure regular maintenance of the Community Centre and surroundings, including WaSH facilities and drainage systems.

C.3 Coordination and Representation

  • Coordinate closely with CiC office, UNHCR staff, and other relevant government, national, and international organizations to ensure alignment and smooth implementation of activities.

  • Facilitate meetings and visits involving external stakeholders and partners.

  • Work in coordination with the PERU team during emergencies and rapid response situations.

C.4 Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation

  • Participate in focus group discussions and community consultations to support needs assessment and activity improvement.

  • Provide daily updates and weekly activity reviews to the CBP Coordinator.

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports as per organizational requirements.

  • Submit work plans and accomplishment reports to Technical Officer CC and CFM.

  • Uphold CODEC’s Code of Conduct, safeguarding, PSEA, child protection, confidentiality, and “Do No Harm” principles at all times.

  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Organization.

Safeguarding & PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)'s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
