Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters/ MBA with a preference for candidates with a Textile based background
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor and coordinate with the Planning Manager to determine/fix delivery schedule (date) and sequence of implementing all order in the lines.
∎ Continuously update the knit fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and Stitch Library including technical data and price idea for easy reference.
∎ Preparation and accomplishment of the merchandising cycle (File / Record keeping / Sampling / TNAs / QA file making / Production follow ups / Shipment booking).
∎ Prepare order wise BOM (Bill of Materials) and give opinion to prepare SPO (Supplier Purchase Order).
∎ Co-ordinate with production team in order to ensure on time shipment and ensures merchandisers are updating order status to buyer.
∎ Liaison with Commercial Manager about shipping documents, undertaking all formalities (sending shipping sample, etc.) and update buyer.
∎ Sources required Trims, accessories, fabric sourcing (overseas and local) and develop a reliable & cost effective sourcing network.
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the correct samples within time and quality, provide technical guidance related to pattern and sample making to sample supervisor/ sample man.
∎ Ensure buying office merchandisers receive right sample with in the right time with right quality.
∎ Mitigate issues (order quantities, change of shipment date, complaints and claims) raised by the buyer(s)/ buying office(s).
∎ Be informed about all final inspection and give support where necessary.
∎ Any other task assigned by Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 38 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply.
∎ At least 2 years as a “Sr. Merchandiser & Marketing “in a Knit Garments factory.
∎ Need to have sound knowledge on consumption (fabric, trims and accessories).
∎ Need to have sound knowledge to make effective costing (all components of product costing from all perspectives).
∎ Need to have strong negotiation skills to deal with costing and claims.
∎ Must be able to independently manage Knit product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns and develop customer specific collections.
∎ Be able to set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
∎ Must have excellent computer skills especially in Excel and knowledge of CAD and ERP software.
