Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Context:
The Manager – SCM (Yarn Sourcing & Procurement) will be responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing the procurement of yarn and related materials to ensure uninterrupted production operations. The role requires close coordination with merchandising, production, planning, and finance teams to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. This position plays a strategic role in supplier management, inventory control, compliance, and overall supply chain efficiency within a textile/garments manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead yarn sourcing, procurement, and supply planning to ensure uninterrupted production
- Manage local & foreign yarn suppliers and negotiate price, terms, and quality
- Ensure timely procurement of yarn and related materials as per the production plan
- Monitor yarn quality, testing, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Planning, Knitting, Dyeing, and Finance teams
- Handle PO, LC/TT, PI, and procurement documentation
- Control inventory, consumption, and optimize procurement cost
- Prepare reports and ensure SCM, buyer, and audit compliance
