Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in MIS, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the FMCG or Food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in handling large datasets, particularly sales and market data.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Summary: Seeking the position for Meridian Foods Ltd. a well-renowned FMCG company engaged in production and distribution food items. The position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Management Information Systems (MIS) with a primary focus on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities. This role is critical in providing actionable insights to the sales and marketing teams, enabling data-driven decision-making to optimize sales strategies, identify growth opportunities, and maintain a competitive edge in the food manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain systems for collecting, consolidating, and verifying primary (distributor sales) and secondary (retailer off-take) sales data.
- Ensure consolidated (Distributor wise) daily sales order and ensure that the order is placed to distribution department to ensure on time delivery of products.
- Develop and generate regular (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) sales performance reports, including but not limited to:
- Sales volume and value by product, SKU, region, channel, and salesperson. Sales target vs. achievement analysis.
- Sales growth trends and forecasting. Distributor performance analysis (stock levels, order fulfillment, sales out).
- Salesperson productivity and incentive tracking. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales data to highlight areas of strength and weakness.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand their data needs and provide customized reports and dashboards.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret market data, including market size, market share, consumer demographics, purchasing behavior, and market trends within the processed food industry.
- Prepare comprehensive market analysis reports to identify new market opportunities, potential threats, and areas for strategic growth.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotions in relation to market response.
- Continuously monitor and track competitor activities, including pricing strategies, product launches, promotional activities, distribution channels, and market share.
- Analyze competitor product portfolios and identify gaps or opportunities in the company's own offerings.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel Dashboards) to present complex data in an easily digestible format for various stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve existing MIS processes and tools.
- Train sales teams on how to effectively utilize MIS reports and dashboards.
