Job Context:
∎ Division/Department: Freight Forwarding (Sales)
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ Identify, drive and execute Sales/ business development for QNS Group. S/He isaccountable for working across functional organizational lines and geographies inthe expansion of targeted and existing customers to achieve/increase targetrevenue/growth over the long run.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Visit and follow up with clients for both export (major) & import business and make sufficient target calls per day.
∎ Develop/focus trade lanes based on market potential, develop new overseas partner agent.
∎ Joint sales call with supervisor, Salespersons, management, and respective operational team for VIP/MNC client when it required.
∎ Establish strong relationship with clients/agents (both Local & Overseas)
∎ Prepare competitive market analysis
∎ Compile and send weekly sales report (including call reports+ business gain /loss/ revenue) from individual salespersons and report them to immediate supervisor
∎ Prepare weekly Pre-plan for projected target customer visit plan for self and for the sales team with discussion with respective members.
∎ Minimize service failure with the proper follow up and engaging our key operational team to maintain the desired service level and error free service.
∎ Share history of the lost business opportunity, enquiry received from the customer and reasons behind losing the opportunity.
∎ Perform all assigned duties maintaining high ethical standards with a minimal amount of supervision from the Supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3-4 years of work experience within shipping logistics company or similar industries
∎ International Ocean/Air Export experience in the freight forwarding industry.
∎ Maintaining external and internal customer relationships
∎ Good communication skills, especially when delivering information to customers and team members.
∎ Keeps up-to-date of current developments
