Job Context:
∎ Division/Department: Freight Forwarding (Sea/Air; Import/ Export)
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ Responsible for formulating policies, identifying and managing new and existing customers, overseeing daily operations including general sales and sales forecasting, planning the use of materials and staff, and continuous growth of the company. Identify, drive and execute business development for QNS Group. S/He is accountable for working across functional organizational lines and geographies in the expansion of targeted and existing customers to achieve/increase target revenue/growth over the long run.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Target MNC, BCO, VIP clients.
∎ Responsible for meeting and exceeding profitability and account development objectives for a defined list of Strategic Accounts.
∎ Achieve overall growth and new business targets and achieve value generation objectives
∎ Plan for future development and contingencies, encompassing economic and global changes.
∎ Send qualified sales lead to potential / target agents and lanes.
∎ Daily sales meeting with sales team to monitor their actual visit plan and market coverage based on overseas target agents, lanes.
∎ Develop new overseas partner agent based on potential lane.
∎ Establish strong relationship with clients/agents (both Local & Overseas)
∎ Freight procurement from airline and shipping line together with operation team to get more effective outcome.
∎ Competitive analysis and develop strategy.
∎ Leading by example. guiding, and encouraging sales team to make more calls
∎ and implement all assigned tasks.
∎ Minimize service failure with the proper follow up and engaging key operational team to maintain the desired service level and error free service.
∎ Ensure succession planning in the team
∎ Creative thinking for development of the overall organizational strength.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10-12 years of work experience within shipping logistics /freight forwarding companies, with 4-5 years of leadership experience in similar industries
∎ International Ocean/Air; Import/Export experience in the freight forwarding industry.
∎ Prior management/leadership experience.
∎ Exposure to the international markets
∎ Multiple stakeholder management, maintain external/internal customer relationships
∎ Knows how to apply solutions based on evolving industry trends and market growth dynamics
∎ Good communication skills, especially when delivering information to customers and team members.
