Responsibilities & Context:
Diesel Generator Service.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantity (BOQ) and cost estimates for panel construction, wiring, generator installation, synchronization, and commissioning.
- Understanding of three-phase systems, control wiring, AVR, ACB, CT/VT, and synchronization panels.
- Strong Knowledge of SLD design and control schematics for generator synchronization and switchgear systems.
- Manage panel wiring execution, ensuring compliance with design, standards, and cost targets.
- Hands-on experience installing, wiring,g and commissioning LV/MV switchgear and synchronization panels in commercial or industrial
- Practical experience synchronizing generators (DG to DG/utility), in both manual and auto modes.
- Conduct installation, testing, commissioning, and load-testing of gensets and panels.
- Coordinate final handover, documentation as build drawings, commissioning logs, test report, and certification.
- Experienced in engine overhaul and rebuild (top-end or major overhaul) as required, including disassembly, inspection, replacement of worn components (E.g, pistons, bearing gaskets, seal), reassembly, calibration, and testing.
Generator Service.
- Working experience on different brands of generator engines (Perkins, Cummins, Volvo, etc.)
- Designing, wiring, installing, and troubleshooting Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
- Replacing and programming advanced generator control units (DSE, ComAP).
- Diagnosing and fixing both electrical and mechanical problems in generators.
