Experience:
Responsible for:
Operating, piloting, and driving the Speed Boat/Wooden Trawler Boat.
Running, maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of the Speed Boat/Wooden Trawler Boat.
Assisting in any other duty/ activity of the floating hospital ships as delegated.
Activities:
He shall be under the overall control of the Fleet Management Department in HO.
His local control shall be the Administrator and/or Master of the ship.
He shall be accountable and responsible to the Administrator and/or Master of the ship for his day-to-day activities, duties, and work performance.
He shall be responsible for running, cleaning, and maintenance of speed boat/ trawler boat/any other boat he is delegated to and shall carry out routine and/or other boat operations as ordered or required.
He shall be responsible, in addition, for cleaning and maintenance of the attached hospital ship as required, ordered, or delegated by the Master/Administrator.
He shall be responsible, in addition, for doing boat operations for visitors and guests as required, ordered, or delegated by the Master/Administrator.
He shall be responsible, additionally, for the operation, upkeep, and maintenance of any other boat of the ship in the absence of the designated boat driver for that boat as directed by the Master/Administrator
Further, he shall undertake the laundry and ironing of hospital linen as required, ordered, or delegated by the Master/Administrator, if and when required.
He shall assist in setting up tube wells for drinking water, tents/sheds for patients for medical camps/services, and dismantling and storage as required, ordered, or delegated by the Master/Administrator.
In addition, he shall support the medical team/staff whenever required, ordered, or delegated by the Master/Administrator.
He is liable for the proper cleanliness and maintenance of his own individual living area on board and bed linen, blankets, etc., issued to him.
He will always be required to observe and uphold Friendship’s Code of Ethics, Policies & Guidelines, Rules & Regulations, Personnel & Confidentiality Policies.
He can be delegated to undertake any other additional duty as required or directed by the relevant higher authority appropriate to his competency or grade, and can be transferred from ship to ship as per operational requirement or convenience of the Fleet Management Department in a post appropriate to his competency or grade.
Skill and Competencies:
Education: Minimum Class 8 passed with a minimum capability of reading and writing in Bengali and possessing good health and physique.
Knowledge: Experience in operating/driving/piloting ambulance boat/speed boat/ trawler boat/country boat.
Skill: Capable of carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs of the boat & routine Maintenance of the boat’s diesel/petrol/octane engines.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant activity.
