Job Context:
∎ Girls Get Equal: (Integrated approach to end child early and forced marriage)
∎ Based at Barisal Divisional Office
∎ Plan International Bangladesh is going to implement a multi years` project titled `Girls Get Equal: (Integrated approach to end child early and forced marriage) in one district (Barguna) of Barisal Division in the context of Bangladesh. The overall objective of the project is to reduce the incidence of child marriage in 16 unions of two sub-districts within the district of Barguna. The project will reach 26,000 children and youth (targeting the most marginalized adolescents and young women) in Barguna District with interventions across the five outcome areas-girls` retention in school, youth economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), social norm change and child protection. The project will follow a clear tested graduation model to make the young women economically productive through effective training and income generating opportunities and socially empowered to achieve gender equality in the world of work.
∎ Plan International Bangladesh is looking for a SOYEE specialist for its "Girls Get Equal: (Integrated approach to end child early and forced marriage)" project, who will be dedicated for providing strategic and technical support to the concerned partners for field level implementation and monitoring as per set quality standards of Youth Economic Empowerment interventions towards improvement of the socio-economic circumstances of marginalized and poor youths with a particular focus on skills development, self/wage employment in decent jobs.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor implementation of the activities and budget expenditure of the SOYEE component of the project for Plan International/partner organization
∎ Prepare and ensure timely submission of reports and necessary documentation on overall implementation of the SOYEE activities for concerned project and partners
∎ Build capacity of partner staff on technical aspects of youth economic empowerment as well as community mobilization
∎ Mentor the Project personnel on SOYEE (at Partner) on Project Cycle Management and SOYEE interventions
∎ Contribute to strengthen skills and opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship component to achieve the objectives of the Country Strategic Plan
∎ Ensure that Plan International's global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to the area of responsibility
Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking for a dynamic team member with high team spirit. S/he needs to be holding a Master's degree in any discipline preferably in economics, agribusiness, agriculture or livestock with having at least five years demonstrated work experiences in community mobilization, partner management and economic empowerment / food security / livelihood / market development. The exposure in implementing gender transformative projects will get advantage and vocational education including apprenticeship programs are preferred.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary Package: BDT. 85000.00 (monthly) along with other benefits i.e.,. hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.
