∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Garments Technology
∎ MBA

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fabric Sourcing, Garments, Knit and Woven

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Reports to Head of South East Operations
∎ The goal is to make sure that company’s customers get the most competitive prices and at the same time ensure that the quality lives up to our customer’s requirements.
∎ As the company’s boots on the ground the Sourcing and Quality Controller is the Company’s eyes and ears at the supplier and will be responsible for taking the right decision on acceptance or rejection of the inspected orders and will be present at all crucial faces of production, from early sampling, till inline inspection and final inspection.
∎ Oversee and make sure that corrective measures are followed and enforced as well as engaging with the factory on problem solving.
∎ Follow each step of the product life cycle from first quotation, until final inspection and make sure that the company delivers the products at the right time, in the right quality and to the right price.
∎ Problems that the Sourcing and Quality Controller must solve:-
∎ -Follow the company motto of “constant improvement” to ensure the quality level and standards are meet.
∎ -Make proper use of Company’s inspection software and ensure that pending decision are kept to an absolute minimum (pending rate must not be higher than 1%).
∎ -Make sure that customer quality claims for inspected orders are less than 1%
∎ -Follow each order every step of the way, from initial price negotiation until full delivery
∎ -Locate price competitive suppliers
∎ Receive, control and pass order samples, fabrics, labels, lab-dips to office/customers & analyze new styles according to customer requirements
∎ Provides more than one price quotation if a small style change impacts price considerably
∎ Always question prices of all operations and components and give the order to the factory that is the first to give the lowest price
∎ When the order comes in, check all details carefully, including sample dates and ETD. In case of any problem, inform sales person immediately (within 48 hours)
∎ Ensure factories accepts the requested time of delivery; Reject unreasonable up-charges
∎ Ensures supplier manual and PO contracts are signed in advance of production
∎ Inspect proto samples & SMS sample before dispatch to customer and make comments in QC software
∎ Hand over all order information to Customer Support in time
∎ Make inline inspection of PO in QC Software
∎ Make final inspection on PO in QC Software and make sure that pending rate per year is less than 1%
∎ Other tasks arranged by Head of South East Asia
∎ Follow company discipline & abide by company’s safety policies
∎ Support and help Head of Asia in developing new fabric, yarn and garment suppliers.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Relevant years of working experience in similar job or other garment related position.
∎ Good at negotiating price
∎ Very good knowledge of price levels for all components of woven and knit garments; strong knowledge of quality systems.
