∎ Relief International (RI) has been working in Bangladesh since 2004, implementing programs covering emergency response, health, economic opportunity, trafficking in persons, gender equality and youth empowerment. RI has been present in Cox’s Bazar since 2014 where it was implementing a trafficking in person’s project in Ukhiya and Teknaf supporting old caseload refugees as well as host communities prior to the large-scale influx. Since 2017, RI has scaled up its operations in Cox’s Bazar to support the emergency response by providing integrated, multi-sectoral programming for refugee and host communities, covering health services, child protection, SGBV. Relief International is currently implementing a large scale refugee response program in Cox`s Bazar in Bangladesh in collaboration with multiple partners including UNHCR.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Share appropriate information about MHPSS services with the patients and other stakeholders.
∎ Visit households regularly (day-to-day) to find out the patients who need MHPSS IPD services and to ensure the well-being and regular follow-up of discharged MHPSS IPD patients.
∎ Ensure medication assistance to patient’s family for the discharged MHPSS Patients.
∎ Receive the patients through referral system or any other relevant ways, assist the patients to get admitted in MHPSS IPD, and maintain proper records/documentations.
∎ Ensure follow-up with relevant stakeholders for the referral of patients.
∎ Conduct household visits of MHPSS patients and provide information and counselling to the family of the patients.
∎ Accompany MHPSS IPD patients and provide necessary supports to ensure their well-being.
∎ Accompany referral patients to reach the referral service centers for better treatment.
∎ Conduct patient satisfaction survey/exit interview at the MHPSS IPD to know their opinion and submit to MHPSS IPD for data analysis and further improvement of service delivery.
∎ Use and fill up different monitoring tools which is applicable for this position.
∎ Conduct Psychological First aid to the patient’s when needed.
∎ Assist clinic staff in queuing patients/clients inside the clinic and deliver MHPSS related messages at the waiting areas.
∎ Respond to any emergency call by the camp in charge (CIC) as and when required.
∎ Assist Psychologist to provide any kind of MHPSS services.
∎ Work collaborately with CPVs and CPCs and ensure a proper plan for the well-being of MHPSS patients.
∎ Attend different trainings and meetings as required or assigned by supervisor/program.
∎ Maintain liaison with other NGOs/camp volunteers and disseminate necessary messages/information.
∎ Prepare weekly/fortnightly/monthly report with necessary quantitative data and submit to Psychologists.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Good knowledge on MHPSS (Basic Counselling skills are required)
∎ Good communication Skills
∎ Flexibility, hardworking and honesty
∎ Willing to work in community level with regular households visits
∎ Ability to read and understand different flip leaflets, charts, office instructions writing/filing up monitoring forms/formats, daily/weekly reports, etc. in English and Bengali
∎ Basic numerical analysis skill for reporting
∎ Basic knowledge on general health/ mental health, hygiene, family planning and nutrition issues and message deliveries to camp population
∎ Skilled on counseling and conduction with patients
∎ Ability to understand and speak local language (Fluency in Rohingya/Chittagongian dialect and good understanding in English and Bangla)
∎ Ability to make harmony with Rohingya community
∎ Ability to represent RI with other stakeholders
∎ Ability to strictly adhere to Relief International office rules and regulations
