Responsibilities & Context:
∎ BYLC’s Strategies and project goals, policies, plans, and guidelines are properly maintained
∎ Support to enhance on to establish strategies for organizational and institutional development, growth, and sustainabilityInitiatives to enhance BYLC’s image and leadership role nationally and globally
∎ Follow institutional and program regulatory and adherence of country laws and regulations
∎ Promote and practice BYLC Values (Integrity, Respect Towards Others, Empathy, Excellence in everything We Do, Continuous Development and Practice Adapting Leadership) at all times
∎ Ensure Safeguard and protection of life and dignity of all associated personnel of BYLC as well as the assets and property.Operational(80%):
∎ Create short and long-term training plans based on the goals and ambitions of the project.
∎ Develop futuristic skill-based training outlines for youth employment to implement during the project years.
∎ Contribute to project planning, intervention designing, training calendar, trainer development, etc.
∎ Innovate different training modules applicable in different set-ups (physical, virtual, hybrid).
∎ Support the management team with data, documents, reports, and field reports to create project reports.
∎ Conduct surveys and develop research to enhance contextual knowledge, need understanding, and intervention designing as per the training requirements.
∎ Design training content, modules, and curriculum for targeted training programs in line with the project outcome, goals, and target population.
∎ Run pilot training and incorporate feedback to finalize the training module.
∎ Plan, arrange, and implement dissemination training (TOT) for the trainers.
∎ Assist in developing a training package that includes scheduling, training numbers, session content, handouts etc.
∎ Support trainers to arrange trainings, logistics, session design, and content development.
∎ Visit, monitor, and report ongoing training programs in different training centers.
∎ Evaluate post-training sessions based on the evaluation reports and prepare suggestions to improve.
∎ Follow up with the training participants to understand, measure, and learn about the training outcome and prepare reports.
∎ Prepare relevant reports and ensure documentation as required by the project stakeholders.
∎ Ensure and endorse inclusivity, diversity, and contextualized environment through a training module, learning environments, and teaching.
∎ Practice, promote, and endorse safeguarding policy to build a safe learning environment and ensure safeguarding standard in every course of action. People Management and Relationship Building(10%):
∎ Manage a pool of trainers, facilitators, and volunteers to plan, design, and implement training programs and affiliated events.
∎ Create strong relationships with multiple training facilities, partner organizations, and vendors to promote and arrange training programs and events.
∎ Stakeholder management as per requirement (participants, local authorities, donors, etc) to ensure seamless operation and reporting.
∎ Ensure BYLC’s core values are in practice inside and outside the team, in every aspect of action.
∎ The Skills and Curriculum Development Officer will work under direct supervision of Manager- Skills and Employment of the USAID Bijoyee Activity of BYLC, which is the strategic partner of CARE Bangladesh, including some other partner organizations. The project focused on a comprehensive Initiative focused on empowering and engaging young people in Bangladesh. It aims to address various aspects of youth development, including education, skill building soft skills, creating the environment for employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and social inclusion as stated in project documents.The Skills and Curriculum Development Officer is one of the essential roles in the training team under the BIJOYEE Activities project. This position is responsible for developing training modules, piloting multiple training programs, and co-leading the training of the trainers (TOT) as per the project requirement. Furthermore, this role is also responsible for ensuring continuous learning and developing the training content to equip the participants with the best employability skills. Furthermore, this role will also give me scope to go to the field and monitor the ongoing training programs and report back to the BYLC Hub Office to ensure the quality of the training programs.
