Experience:

• Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering

• Age 18 to 40 years

● Solid understanding of circular knitting machine operation, common settings, and troubleshooting.

●  Production planning and manpower allocation across a shift.

●Sound, timely decision-making under time pressure, including knowing when to escalate versus resolve directly.

●People management - supervising, motivating, and maintaining discipline among shift staff.

● Clear, concise shift reporting and handover to the next shift.

● Oversee daily production execution for the shift, including machine allocation and style change-overs per the production plan.

●  Monitor machine efficiency and uptime; respond promptly to breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team.

● Ensure shift production targets (output in kg, efficiency %) are met, and report variances with reasons.

●  Supervise knitting operators and technicians on shift - task allocation, discipline, and on-the-job guidance.

●  Coordinate directly with the Quality Officer on quality holds, and drive timely corrective action at the machine level.

● Verify correct yarn issuance and machine settings against the production plan and specification before and during runs.

● Maintain shift production reports covering output, downtime, and wastage.

● Escalate technical, resource, or quality issues beyond shift-level authority to the Knitting Manager or Head Technologist.

● Ensure safety procedures and floor discipline are followed throughout the shift.
