Job Responsibilities:
∎ Use automated security scanning tools (SCAP, ACAS, etc.) to identify potential vulnerabilities
∎ Analyze, track, and report findings within the team and to leadership for appropriate tracking and mitigation
∎ Prepare and deliver various reports to the Security Team within the RCC-C
∎ Ensure server configuration compliance with DoD
∎ Be a self-motivated system administrator to provide enterprise server support
∎ Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
∎ Document technical troubleshooting efforts
∎ Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support
∎ Manage network servers and technology tools
∎ Set up accounts and workstations
∎ Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
∎ Troubleshoot issues and outages
∎ Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
∎ Upgrade systems with new releases and models
∎ Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
∎ Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim
∎ Windows system administration
∎ Must have experience with Linux operating system
∎ Certification On Ethical Hacking will be a big Plus
∎ Experience with various Cloud Server and AWS Server administration
∎ Experience with physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) systems
∎ Knowledge of client/server hardware and software configuration
∎ Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
∎ 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
∎ System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus
∎ Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
∎ Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
∎ Experience with scripting and automation tools
∎ A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
∎ Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
∎ Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
∎ Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
∎ Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
∎ Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
∎ Excellent communication skills
