Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage daily operations of our existing server environment including system performance monitoring, configuration management, maintenance, patching, scripting, troubleshooting, and repair/recovery.
∎ Migrate our existing servers from AWS to other more efficient cloud services.
∎ Develop procedures and documentation to support the server infrastructure environment.
∎ Contribute to and maintain security standards and system integrity
∎ Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for server administration tasks
∎ Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
∎ Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
∎ Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and 'fixes'
∎ Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
∎ Working on the Ubuntu command line.
Additional Requirements:
∎ MUST have experience in Linode and AWS
∎ In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple cloud-based services i.e. AWS, Azure, Linode, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean (Experience in at least 2 cloud service technologies is highly preferable)
∎ Proficient knowledge on Server and Database configurations.
∎ Experience to build scalable production systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures).
∎ Analyze requirements and present an innovative, efficient and cost-effective architecture using cloud services that ensure scalability, availability and high performance.
∎ Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive projects from an architecture standpoint.
∎ Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud and overall industry to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers etc.,) and mentor team to build necessary competency.
∎ Consulting with clients to specify system requirements and design solutions.
∎ Good communication skills.
∎ Must have a team player mentality.
∎ Various certifications on AWS and other cloud architectures are highly desirable.
∎ Good knowledge of cpanel/ whmcs configuration.
Salary: Negotiable
