Education:
  • Bachelor/ Masters in HR, Social Science, Psychology, or related field.

  • Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Compliance will be considered an advantage.

  • Relevant training and expertise in the field of labor and industrial setting.

  • Expertise in respect of Bangladesh labor law, EPZ labor law with all latest amendments, industrial relationship and disposal of complaints.

  • Must be a good counselor and daily counseling to the workers in order to achieving organizational goal.

  • Taking steps for the development of worker-owner relationship

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

Applicants are requested to go through the responsibilities outlined below:

A. Committee Formation & Supervision:

  • Facilitate worker–management meetings (Participation Committee, Safety Committee, etc.).

  • Facilitate & support the formation of different committees (Participatory Committee, Safety Committee etc.) and supervise their activities.

  • To Lead the participation committee and conduct meeting as per legal requirements.

B. Employee Relations & Counseling:

  • Conduct regular counseling sessions for workers to resolve personal or workplace concerns.

  • Assist workers in applying for paid leave and inform them about leave policies and other employment regulations.

  • Carry out Orientation program and various types of awareness program as per buyer requirements.

  • Provide guidance to both workers and management to ensure proper implementation of company rules and labor regulations.

  • Take proactive steps to strengthen communication and mutual understanding between workers and management.

  • Listen to workers’ concerns, provide counseling and motivation, and facilitate constructive discussions on employment conditions.

  • Arrange regular meetings and dialogue between management and workers to maintain a cooperative and harmonious workplace environment.

  • To counsel the workers on general issues like company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and discipline.

  • To counsel the absentee workers as referred by the HR section, in view to reduce absenteeism & turnover.

C. Grievance Handling:

  • Maintain effective communication with workers and address grievances through proper grievance handling procedures.

  • Ensure that workers’ complaints and welfare concerns are reported to management and resolved in a timely manner.

  • To find aggrieved workers and counsel them in view to resolved their grievance related to their wages-allowance-benefits and facilities.

  • Taking steps rapidly for reconciliation if there happens to be disagreement between the Owner and the workers.

  • Notifying to the authority for speedy disposal of the objections that the workers have individually or collectively.

D. Health & Safety Awareness:

  • Coordinate maternity benefit processes — application, follow-up, documentation, and support pre/post-maternity workers.

  • Coordinate with medical officers and factory authorities to ensure workers receive adequate healthcare and medical support.

  • To counsel workers on safety health & hygiene issues Conduct periodic welfare inspections to identify improvement areas in workplace conditions.

  • Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of worker facilities, including canteen, waiting areas, childcare center, toilets, and safe drinking water.
