Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Clinical Psychology/ Counseling Psychology from any reputed university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations. Advanced degree/ certification courses on psychosocial counseling is preferable

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop a community based psychosocial support model for the host community in collaboration with concerned experts in the field (BIED and others)
∎ Capacity development and follow-up of community people (Monobondhu, para counselors) from the host community of Cox's Bazar on identification and Psychological First Aid (PFA) to provide primary psychological support for violence survivors coordinating with PPS team
∎ Monitor and supervise the trained Monobondhu/ para counselors in Cox's Bazar
∎ Increase mental strength of violence survivors by providing them psychosocial counseling as individuals and group
∎ Capacity development and sensitise BRAC Promoting peaceful society project staff through orientation on psychosocial counseling and Psychological First Aid (PFA)
∎ Provide tele-counseling services and ensure supports to survivors as and when necessary
∎ Keep working relationship with other relevant service providers (e.g. OCC) and take necessary steps to link the survivors with emergency medical support and rehabilitation
∎ Capture learning and critical observation, maintain documentation of psychosocial counseling, develop reports, update training modules, prepare handbook etc.
∎ Provide need based counseling support to internal BRAC field staff (e.g. SHRC survivors)
∎ Networking with GO and NGO and other humanitarian actors especially at Cox's Bazar for the prevention of violence against women and mental well-being of the community
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the safeguarding goals while acting as a key source of support, guidance and expertise for establishing a safe working environment in accordance to its reporting procedures. Practice, promote, encourage and endorse the safeguarding policy and implementation standards among team members in case of any reportable incident
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years of experience of providing psychosocial counseling to violence survivors and ensure need based support, research etc.
∎ Knowledge on psychological counseling skill, psychotherapy, progressive muscular relaxation skill to the adult, children and survivors
∎ Skills on training and capacity building
∎ Good Understanding on Gender equality and women empowerment
∎ Strong Understanding on GJ&D's goals and objectives and BRAC gender strategy
∎ Have skills on cross-cultural sensitivity, time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, communication, presentation skill and report writing
∎ Have competency on adaptability, teamwork, relation building and change management
