∎ Sound knowledge on laboratory technology
∎ Good communication skills.
∎ Have excellent writing, reporting and analytical skills.
∎ Have excellent knowledge and skill in Office applications.
∎ Self-motivation, goal/result-orientation and team work.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Ability to work with people of various backgrounds, culture and religion.
∎ Ability to work under pressure, be flexible in challenging situation.
∎ Willingness to visit fields and remote places.


Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Perform lab test maintaining standard and proper documentation.
∎ Take responsibility for inpatients/ emergency patients to perform any lab test after hours and on weekends (or whenever necessary) if and when required.
∎ Be alert and inform the Medical Officer and/or concerned team of any notifiable diseases, outbreaks or other health hazards
∎ Maintain proper register for reagent, equipment, and logistics and raise requisition for these.
∎ Ensure timely and correctly reporting of all activities
∎ To ensure standard of laboratory services are as per national guidelines.
∎ Perform quality control, quality assurance and calibrate equipment if necessary.
∎ Maintenance of good laboratory practices, biosafety, biosecurity, and laboratory waste management.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ The Lab Technologist will be responsible to provide proper documentation and report based on lab test. With the support of Community Health Workers she/he will monitor timely collection of sample.
