Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advocacy activities to Support Disability Inclusion Project activities:
∎ Prepare advocacy strategy and action plan for the Disability Inclusion project (Suborno: Friendship Disability Inclusive Development - FDID) and Inclusive Citizenship (IC) sector.
∎ Coordinate the advocacy activity implementation of the project and IC in line with the activity workplan.
∎ Establish and maintain contacts with various Ministries, Departments/Directorates, semi-government agencies or any relevant government and non-government or private stakeholders, startgic partners and community stakeholders.
∎ Draft advocacy letters, emails and relevant documents for advocacy purpose with guidance from IC management and the team.
∎ Organize advocacy meetings with various stakeholders (govt. non-govt, private andmedia outreach); prepare supporting documents and arrange all media contacts, press briefings, and interviews; provide talking points and other materials as needed for senior staff; respond to any inquiries quickly and effectively with consultation with the line manager.
∎ Arrange meetings, workshops, events and peer led groups as required in order to achieve project outcomes.
∎ Build information networks; plan and oversee maintenance of publicly accessible information materials of FDID project and IC.
∎ Develop, maintain and update (on regular basis) advocacy contacts and database.
∎ Prepare and preserve advocacy meeting minutes including picture and videos.
∎ Operational:
∎ Communicate with the head office staff and field-level project staff to coordinate the advocacy works.
∎ Responsible to work independently and solve operational problems confidently.
∎ Regular visit field and directly monitor the field activities
∎ Prepare activity budget and financial report.
∎ Gather and maintain clear data and records from advocacy activities facilitated by FDID project and IC which will contribute to the evaluation and review of the project and requirements of IC sector and donors.
∎ Prepare high quality project or advocacy reports which include: monthly, quarterly, annual and other reports as per the need of the FDID project, IC team and donor.
∎ Networking and stakeholder Engagement:
∎ Work on a range of advocacy and outreach issues; explore possible advocacy partners and maintain liaison, initiate new communication and nurture public relations issues for IC and FDID project with consultation with line manager.
∎ Advocacy material development:
∎ Draft communications and advocacy materials for the Disability Inclusion project (Suborno: Friendship Disability Inclusive Development - FDID), Inclusive Citizenship (IC) sector and any required initiatives of IC, including newsletters, reports, promotional materials, and talking points for the team.
∎ Coordinates production of a diverse range of information products (including case stories and audio/visual communications),
∎ Other:
∎ Responsible to provide high quality output as per the agreed plan in due time.
∎ Explore, develop and maintain good relations with project staff and beneficiaries.
∎ Review and update relevant policies and procedures of all project activities as per the donor’s compliance and guidelines.
∎ Ensure teamwork, consultation and communication, innovation by team members.
∎ Ensure safeguarding in every aspect of responsibility as per organizational policy.
∎ Other duties as required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 40 years
∎ Excellent computer skills
∎ Written and speaking fluency in English and Bengali
∎ Strong report writing and communication skills and in English including written and verbal
∎ 4/5 years of experience at the development sector (mostly in rights related issues)
∎ Strong presentation, communication, and advocacy skills
∎ Strong interpersonal skill and leadership skills.
∎ Demonstrated experience in advocating for the needs and aspirations of vulnerable population groups with government, funders and community organizations.
∎ High-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Excellent ability to produce quality written reports or submissions.
