Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Procurement / Supply chain Management experience in the areas Local/foreign purchase including vehicle/capex/ OpEx items.


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring efficient, transparent, and compliant procurement operations across BRAC programmes and enterprises. The role focuses on timely delivery of goods and services, maintaining audit-compliant documentation, strengthening vendor relationships, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives to support BRAC’s transformation towards a social enterprise model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure fully compliant procurement of goods under BRAC Procurement Guideline Implementation Procedure (BPGIP) and donor guidelines by delivering the right products to stakeholders on time, in the correct quantity, quality, cost, and condition.

  • Validate technical specifications, issue Request for Quotations( RFQs) /Invitation for Tenders(IFTs), coordinate evaluations, facilitate sample/technical assessments, and manage tender processes including Post Tender Negotiations (PTNs), preparation of Comparative Statements (CS), and obtaining necessary approvals. Recommend cost-saving initiatives (bulk purchase, standardization of models, etc.) in full compliance with BPGIP.

  • Manage vendor bill verification, delivery documentation (challans, mushoks, etc.), ERP submissions, and ensure timely payments to both local and foreign suppliers.

  • Maintain strong collaboration with programs, enterprises, finance, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and cost optimization.

  • Conduct regular market exploration and sourcing to identify new vendors (manufacturer, importers, and dealers), pricing, product availability, trends. reduce inventory levels, and optimize lead times.

  • Handle urgent or special-occasion purchases promptly while maintaining full compliance with procurement policies.

  • Preserve and present procurement files for domestic and donor audits, and organize annual stakeholder forums to strengthen collaboration and minimize procurement issues.

  • Support the procurement department in facilitating BRAC’s transformation toward a social enterprise model

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
