Experience:

• 2 to 4 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Industrial Engineering

• Certification in Safety is mandatory (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent)

• 2 to 4 years

• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Safety Officer in steel structure construction / heavy fabrication projects

• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, scaffolding, hot work, confined space and working at heights

• Familiar with HSE regulations, risk assessment and accident investigationGood communication, leadership and reporting skills

• Implement and monitor site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plans

• Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safe practices in lifting, welding, cutting and erection activities

• Maintain records of permits, inspections, toolbox talks and incident reports

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, local regulations and client requirements

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and refresher training for workers and subcontractors

• Identify hazards, perform risk assessments and implement mitigation measures

• Ensure proper use of PPE and take immediate corrective actions for unsafe acts or conditions

• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; recommend and follow up on preventive actions

• Support safety audits, prepare reports and assist in emergency drills and response plans
