Additional Requirements:
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Safety Officer in steel structure construction / heavy fabrication projects
Strong knowledge of lifting operations, scaffolding, hot work, confined space and working at heights
Familiar with HSE regulations, risk assessment and accident investigationGood communication, leadership and reporting skills
Responsibilities & Context:
Implement and monitor site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plans
Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safe practices in lifting, welding, cutting and erection activities
Maintain records of permits, inspections, toolbox talks and incident reports
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, local regulations and client requirements
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and refresher training for workers and subcontractors
Identify hazards, perform risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
Ensure proper use of PPE and take immediate corrective actions for unsafe acts or conditions
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; recommend and follow up on preventive actions
Support safety audits, prepare reports and assist in emergency drills and response plans
