Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
∎ Minimum Graduation in Science background. Diploma from govt. institutes in engineering will be preferred
∎ The ideal candidate should have 6 months of training from BFSCD Training Centre, Mirpur. It is not essential for the candidates from Bangladesh Navy to have a technical background.
∎ Skills Required: Fire Door, Fire prevention System, Fire Protection and Detection System, Fire Safety Audit, Fire safety Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Fire and Safety, Fire Detection System Design, Fire Door, Fire prevention System
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Arranging meetings regarding fire drills with Factory Management.
∎ Arranging fire drill centrally/floor-wise.
∎ Monitoring distribution of fire dresses& helmets of Fire Fighters.
∎ Conducting fire drills&evacuation drills, taking photographs of the same and other fire safety items as required.
∎ Arranging fire training & ensuring record keeping of the same at the register with photography.
∎ Keeping Record of fire drills in Fire Drill Log Book for various buyers.
∎ Filling up the internal audit format and keeping records for CHO.
∎ Writing a report on fire safety issues while visiting the factory.
∎ Checking CFDS, FPS, Fire Doors, Exit Lights, Aisles Marks, Fire Extinguishers, and Fire Equipment for their correctness.
∎ Assisting BFSCD Team in their fire training and drills.
∎ Training up the employees on perfect use of hose pipes, fire hydrant system, and fire extinguishers.
∎ Checking fire round register.
∎ Checking the present status of fire extinguishers and their condition.
∎ Ensuring monthly fire safety training of new employees.
∎ Arranging training of firefighting team and guards, first aid, and evacuation teams
∎ Checking that all exits of the factory are kept clear
∎ Checking that all exits are unlocked and unblocked and no locking feature is made in any passages, fire items, etc.
∎ Checking emergency lights with battery backup.
∎ Checking audible and visual fire alarm system with battery backup.
∎ Checking that the evacuation plan is posted on the wall.
∎ Checking that firefighting equipment is kept unblocked and is not damaged.
∎ Checking fire pump inspection & testing reports.
∎ Checking implementation of hot work policy in the factory.
∎ Checking maintenance of housekeeping register & policy and their implementation.
∎ Checking the fire door inspection & testing report.
∎ Checking correctness of record-keeping of various checklists
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Navy background preferred
Salary: Negotiable
