The DGM – Internal Audit is responsible for planning, leading, and executing internal audit activities for the knit dyeing mill to ensure effective internal control, compliance, operational efficiency, cost control, inventory accuracy, and risk management. The role focuses on identifying process gaps, preventing fraud and wastage, ensuring compliance with company policies, and improving operational performance across production, stores, commercial, finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement annual internal audit plans for the knit dyeing factory.
Conduct regular operational, financial, compliance, and surprise audits.
Evaluate effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and management directives.
Identify control weaknesses, fraud risks, leakages, and process inefficiencies.
Audit dyeing production processes including batch consumption, recipe control, machine efficiency, and wastage analysis.
Verify production records, chemical/dyes consumption, and utility usage.
Monitor production losses, re-dyeing, rejection, and process deviations.
Ensure accuracy of production reporting and KPI measurements.
Conduct audits of yarn, dyes, chemicals, spare parts, and finished goods inventory.
Verify stock accuracy through physical inventory checking and reconciliation.
Monitor inventory movement, issuance, consumption, and stock adjustments.
Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all store transactions.
Review financial transactions, vouchers, bills, and supporting documents.
Ensure proper cost allocation and expense control.
Verify bank, cash, procurement, and payment procedures.
Identify unusual transactions and financial irregularities.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, labor laws, environmental regulations, and company standards.
Assess operational and financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Monitor implementation of corrective action plans.
Audit procurement procedures, vendor selection, quotation comparison, and purchase approvals.
Review import/commercial documents and LC-related processes.
Ensure transparency and cost effectiveness in purchasing activities.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risk analysis, and recommendations.
Present audit observations to top management.
Follow up on audit observations and corrective actions.
Support management in process improvement initiatives.
Lead and supervise the internal audit team.
Train and develop audit team members.
Allocate audit assignments and monitor performance.
