Education:
    • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Professional certification in Supply Chain / Procurement (e.g., PGDSCM, CSCP) is an added advantage.

Prior experience in hospital or pharmaceutical procurement is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to oversee procurement and inventory management for hospital supplies, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and consumables. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high quality standards and seamless hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors/suppliers for medical supplies, surgical instruments, medicines, and general hospital operational materials.

  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and track delivery schedules to ensure zero disruption in clinical operations.

  • Coordinate with department heads (ICU, OT, Pharmacy, Maintenance) to assess periodic inventory requirements.

  • Conduct vendor performance evaluations based on product quality, price competitiveness, and timely delivery.

  • Inspect incoming goods in coordination with store/inventory teams to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

  • Maintain meticulous procurement records, contracts, invoices, and supplier databases.

  • Monitor stock levels to prevent stock-outs or overstocking of critical medical items.

  • Handle return/replacement of damaged or defective medical goods with suppliers.
