Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and execute merchandising strategies in alignment with the company's overall business objectives and target market. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitors to identify opportunities and potential risks.
∎ Collaborate with the product development team and suppliers to curate a compelling product assortment that meets customer needs and preferences. Conduct regular market research and gather feedback to adjust product offerings accordingly.
∎ Determine appropriate pricing strategies to optimize sales and profitability. Monitor and analyze product performance to ensure products achieve target margins and financial goals.
∎ Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstock situations. Work with the supply chain team to ensure timely replenishment and efficient inventory turnover.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and address any quality or sourcing issues.
∎ Plan and execute sales promotions and markdown strategies to drive sales and clear slow-moving inventory. Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and make data-driven decisions to improve future campaigns.
∎ Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective product marketing and promotional plans. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer feedback and market demands.
∎ Utilize sales data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Generate regular reports on product performance, sales, and inventory metrics.
∎ Develop and manage the merchandising budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies are implemented.
∎ Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to merchandising team members. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
∎ Any other relevant responsibilities assigned by the Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 5+ years of experience in merchandising, product management, or a related field, with progressive responsibility.
∎ Strong understanding of retail and consumer trends.
∎ Proficiency in data analysis and using analytics tools.
∎ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
∎ Leadership abilities with a track record of leading successful merchandising initiatives.
∎ Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
