The Hospital has departments of Obs-gynae, Paediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, Palliative Care, Dental Unit, Nursing and a Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disability.
Job Summary: Work within a senior team caring for in-patients and out-patients according to our guidelines, general paediatrics as well as neonatology including Labour Room support and Special Care Neonatal Unit (SCANU). On call coverage together with a junior doctor. Being responsible for quality care, implementing and updating our comprehensive guidelines, teaching and supervising junior doctors, paramedics and nursing students. To participate in clinical audit projects and research
To teach in LAMB Learning & Development Center (LLDC) and Nursing Institute, including HBB-courses

This is the probationary year after promotion to SMO
Able to take admissions and round and certain procedures alone, asking for help where necessary, supervising and training junior doctors
Takes initiative to study and improve own skills
Responsible Clinician including teaching of juniors and younger seniors and including management responsibilities*
Reasonably competent with all levels of patient.
Knows where personal limits of competency are.
Able to supervise, teach and train.
Able to run the unit alone for periods of time, as required.
Working on improving clinical skills and knowledge, following Logbook where applicable
(Not expected to practice at the top end of the profession but to be a competent performer)
Salary: Gross Salary Tk. 50,000 - 70,000/month depending on experience and qualifications; other benefits include Medical Care at LAMB Hospital, Provident Fund, and a festival allowance (100% of basic salary) once per year and critical illness & death benefit.
