Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed DCH or MD or FCPS degree in paediatrics/neonatology from any reputed medical university or medical college.

∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be responsible for managing the clinical components of WHO-sponsored clinical trials being conducted by PRF in partnership with BSMMU and the Johns Hopkins University, USA. The overall responsibility will entail planning and ensuring adequate implementation of the clinical aspects of the studies as per study protocols and national and WHO guidelines.
∎ The specific job responsibilities will include:
∎ Provide training to study physicians and paramedics to assess under-5 children.
∎ Provide training to government physicians and nurses who are working in the study hospitals and assess under-5 children.
∎ Frequently visit study hospitals at Zakiganj Upazila Health Complex, Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulovibazar and Habiganj District hospitals to identify issues and provide on-the-job training to physicians and paramedics and other staff.
∎ Quarterly standardization of physicians and paramedics on child assessment following IMCI guideline and standard operations procedure of the study.
∎ Support study team to recognise sign of illness of under-5 children virtually (using WhatsApp /Viber etc.) when required.
∎ Provide guidance to study physicians on treatment of the under-5 children if needed.
∎ Identify implementation challenges and solutions
∎ Provide weekly and monthly reports to Study Manager and Investigators, identify gaps and potential solutions.
∎ Attend weekly conference call with Principal Investigator, monthly conference call with WHO which may held after office hour due to adjustment of different time zones.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one year clinical experiences in managing paediatric patients in reputed hospital
∎ Candidates having working experience in research will be given preference
∎ Strong written and verbal English and Bangla communications skills.
∎ Additional requirement:
∎ Computer skill in MS word, excel, PowerPoint
∎ Ability to work in complex environment and deliver results in high pressure situations within stipulated timeline
∎ Efficient decision making and problem solving skills
∎ Ability to summarize the results or observation
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation and presentation skills
∎ Good networking and negotiating skills
∎ Ability to travel to field
Salary:
∎ 122,845/- per month and other admissible benefits. (Salary is negotiable for highly experience candidate).
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 12% retirement fund contribution by PRF will be given as per organizational policy.
