Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Clinical & Patient Care:
Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in the dialysis unit, emergency department, and critical care areas.
Supervise and manage dialysis patients before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
Monitor high-risk and critically ill patients and initiate appropriate medical interventions.
Review patient history, investigations, and treatment plans regularly.
Manage critically ill patients including hemodynamic instability, sepsis, electrolyte imbalance, respiratory distress, and altered consciousness.
Initiate and monitor emergency life-saving measures as per protocol.
Coordinate with consultants for advanced critical care decision-making and referrals.
Handle medical emergencies including cardiac arrest, shock, hypertensive crisis, hypoglycemia, acute pulmonary edema, and dialysis-related emergencies.
Lead and participate in CPR and emergency response activities as per hospital guidelines.
Ensure timely stabilization and referral of emergency patients when required.
Dialysis Center Responsibilities:
Supervise dialysis procedures in coordination with nephrologists and nursing staff.
Manage dialysis-related complications such as hypotension, cramps, bleeding, access-related issues, and allergic reactions.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards in the dialysis unit.
Documentation & Reporting:
Ensure accurate medical documentation, progress notes, and emergency records.
Maintain patient confidentiality and medico-legal documentation.
Report critical incidents and adverse events to the hospital authority.
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and emergency drills.
Maintain infection control, patient safety, and risk management practices.
Skill and Competencies:
MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
Valid BMDC registration
Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in critical care, emergency medicine, or dialysis services.
