The Yarn Dyeing Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all yarn dyeing operations to ensure high-quality production, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The role requires strong technical expertise in yarn dyeing processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain compliance with environmental and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and monitor daily yarn dyeing operations to achieve production targets.
Coordinate with merchandising, knitting, and weaving departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Optimize machine capacity utilization and reduce downtime.
Ensure accurate shade matching, color consistency, and adherence to buyer requirements.
Oversee dyeing recipes, processes, and machine parameters to minimize defects.
Implement and monitor quality control systems (RFT, re-dyeing %, wastage).
Supervise and guide dyeing supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Provide training on dyeing techniques, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
Build a motivated, disciplined, and efficient workforce.
Monitor and control the consumption of dyes, chemicals, water, and energy.
Ensure proper inventory management and coordination with purchase/store departments.
Focus on cost optimization and waste reduction.
Identify and resolve production challenges such as shade variation, machine breakdown, or process delays.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for higher productivity and efficiency.
Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in yarn dyeing.
Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations.
Maintain sustainability standards (Oeko-Tex, GOTS, ZDHC, etc.) for buyer audits.
Implement eco-friendly practices and resource conservation initiatives
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and efficiency reports.
Analyze KPIs such as productivity, right-first-time (RFT), and cost per kg.
