Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science from a well-reputed university. Master`s degree is preferred.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the IT sector in a system administration or related role including minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team of IT professionals.

• Experience with an ISP or Cloud Service will be considered a plus

• Preferred certifications cover areas such as application security, computer networks, cloud platforms (like AWS, GCP, Azure), distributed and client-server systems, databases, operating systems, and virtualization/cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with project planning, issue tracking, repository management, and integration & testing tools. Experience with deployment management in cloud infrastructures

• Thorough hands-on experience with Cloud platform systems and OS platforms, especially Linux.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experienced in project planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and managing university-wide physical, virtual, and cloud server infrastructures.

• Maintains and secures Linux/Unix and Windows systems, including core services like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IAM, and Single Sign-On.

• Implements and manages private and public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) along with high-volume storage systems.

• Handles system updates, patching, performance tuning, resource optimization, and automate tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Implement cybersecurity measures, conduct audits and vulnerability assessments, and ensure IT resource disposal aligns with organizational policies.

• Oversee 24/7 IT operations, prepare duty rosters, conduct disaster recovery drills, plans maintenance windows, and manage data/system migrations.

• Supervise and mentor junior staff, collaborate with IT and other departments to support academic and administrative functions, and assist in infrastructure project delivery.

• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of critical services, while monitoring and resolving server, storage, network, and application issues.

• Maintain documentation on software versions, architecture, and deployments; provide regular operational reports to senior leadership.

• Identify and escalate critical issues following escalation protocols, recommending both immediate fixes and long-term strategies
