Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assessment and review of the necessary CDD /EDD/PEP/IP/exception approvals and place for the acceptance of CAMLCO/DCAMLCO, as delegated;
∎ Review documents about enhanced due diligence (EDD) before establishing RMA with correspondent banks and FIs; assessment and review necessary EDD and place for acceptance of CAMLCO/DCAMLCO/Head of Trade, as delegated;
∎ Assess and guide escalated alerts from periodic KYC/AML due diligence on correspondent banking clients, both local and cross border;
∎ Provide necessary support to FI for annual reviews conducted by correspondents on BRAC Bank;
∎ Oversee and co-ordinate AML-CFT administrative procedures of the bank and review, evaluate and implement new procedures in line with new regulations and international best practices;
∎ Work for screening and monitoring mechanisms, calibration of thresholds, and effective name screening (Sanctions/ PEP & IP / Adverse media) alert management throughout the bank;
∎ Reviewing transaction monitoring alerts from trade, remittance, loan operations, account services, and card operations and recommending appropriate measures to the relevant stakeholders;
∎ Administer policies and procedures related to record retention and MIS maintenance in processing requests from stakeholders to information and related internal policies;
∎ Maintain constructive and effective stakeholder relationships with the relevant business and help operations and functions to support the execution and embedding of 2nd line risk management processes to the business;
∎ Ensure the business, operations and functions related to the business are compliant with local regulatory obligations, drive high standards of regulatory compliance, and deliver key priorities and initiatives;
∎ Collaborate with internal AMLD functional units and related business and operations teams, regarding the implementation of financial crime risks and controls;
∎ Review new and existing products and services while initiation and recommend solutions to address any risks; ensure appropriate product governance measures are in place so that product approval documents reflect all relevant regulatory requirements;
∎ Propose control effectiveness and efficiency improvements and simplifications where appropriate;
∎ Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders for regulatory inspection, where necessary;
∎ Addressing issues and maintaining relevant correspondences for internal and external audits of the bank;
∎ Systems check inspection and relevant correspondences with regulators, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit;
∎ TBML L3 alert mitigation; analyzing the reports, triggering the anomalies, placing RFI and regular follow-up, escalating risk issues, and ensuring proactive reporting;
∎ Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence to escalate issues to the senior management;
∎ Support the management of regulatory relationships with all of the local regulators, especially with Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit;
∎ Working in assigned projects with IT, operations, and business units to fine-tune issues while deploying AML-CFT controls;
∎ Prepare and revise AML-CFT-related training materials, eLearning questionnaires, etc. customization as per requirement and conduct sessions for internal stakeholder divisions, as assigned by the team lead.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years' experience in banking with preferably 3 years in relevant field;
∎ Well-versed in the Banking Act, Securities and Futures Act, Financial Advisers Act, Trust Companies Act and Personal Data Protection Act and various subsidiary regulations;
∎ Good judgment enabling the provision of sound advice in difficult areas of regulation and practice and the proactive management of compliance and regulatory risk;
∎ Strong analytical qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity;
∎ Ability to manage and give leadership to business and functional stakeholders;
∎ Sound judgment on business practices, regulatory relationship management and reputational risk;
∎ Personal authority and integrity with proven ability to establish relationships and exert influence at the most senior levels of the Country and with regulators and other external stakeholders;
∎ Able to operate independently, and demonstrate robustness in ethics and resilience;
∎ Role Specific Technical Competencies on the following: Compliance Policies and Standards, Compliance Advisory, Compliance Review and Financial Crime Compliance Assurance, Surveillance (including Screening and Monitoring), Investigations, Trade Based Money Laundering, Correspondent Banking CDD etc.;
∎ Customer-centric, results-oriented and self-propelled.
