Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
∎ M.Sc. (Ag.) in Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Agronomy from any reputed public university.
∎ MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
∎ Skills Required: Analytical ability, Communication, Database, Interpersonal Skills, MICROSOFT OFFICE, Research, Statistical software packages
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Agribusiness, Agro Chemical, FMCG
∎ Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collect data on consumers, competitors and the marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports, and presentations.
∎ Carry out quantitative or qualitative research by designing specific research methodologies which are specific to the industry.
∎ Understand business objectives and accordingly collect primary and secondary data, compile, analyze and interpret the data, formulate reports and make recommendations for the Senior Management.
∎ Design data collection models such as questionnaires, survey forms, ranking and rating scales, etc. to analyze & interpret data using statistical modelling software.
∎ Provide reports on the competitive landscape, which will include analysis of various companies’ offerings and promotional activities, the effectiveness of incentive programs, and identify market trends, pricing/business models, and methods of operations.
∎ Analyze the Growth Drivers of the Agri-Industry and their impact level in accordance with the changing market dynamics. In addition to this, provide suggestions to the management based on the analysis of the value curve of different companies and their impact on sales.
∎ Evaluating the success of business decisions based on data trends.
∎ Conduct secondary research, including finding information from Bangladesh Crop Protection Association (BCPA), Plant Protection Wing (PPW), Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Marketing Experts and provide reports to the Senior Management.
∎ Analyze global trends in the agrochemical market, molecules, pests, etc.
∎ Develop, update and maintain customer databases such as databases for DAE personnel, Agri-Research Institutions, Agri-Universities, NGOs, Stockiest, Retailers, Model Farmers, and Commercial Farmers.
∎ Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies for data extraction and analysis.
∎ Field visit to find out the positive correlation of the findings of market information, collecting qualitative & quantitative data sources, product & competition info, etc.
∎ Any other task assigned by the superiors.
