∎ Diploma in Nursing
∎ Essential Requirements: Junior nursing course completed with valid BNMC registration. Experience in related filed will be given preference.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Demonstrates good behavior, honesty, and respect towards all staff members, including doctors, surgeons, and nurses.
∎ Maintains a positive attitude and actively contributes to teamwork.
∎ Communicates effectively with the surgeon and running nurse during operations, ensuring smooth coordination.
∎ Establishes good communication channels with patients, ward staff, and OPD workers.
∎ Participates in the pre-operative checklist conducted by the anesthetist.
∎ Provides support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
∎ Possesses knowledge about different types of operations and the required instruments/equipment.
∎ Prepares surgical packs, including autoclaving, instrument counting, and washing.
∎ Assists in setting up the instrument trolley and ensures availability of required equipment during operations.
∎ Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains a clean and sterile environment in the operation theatre.
∎ Takes responsibility for infection control measures to minimize the risk of infections.
∎ Assists in transferring patients onto and off the operation table, ensuring proper positioning for surgeries.
∎ Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment in the operation theatre. Possess comprehensive knowledge of different types of operations and the required instruments/equipment, ensuring their availability during surgeries. Actively participates in the pre-operative checklist conducted by the anesthetist and communicates effectively with patients, ward staff, and OPD workers. Provide support and reassurance to patients throughout the surgical process, assisting in patient transfer and positioning on the operation table. Moreover, the Scrub Nurse plays a crucial role in capacity building by sharing knowledge and cooperating with others to enhance their skills and knowledge, contributing to the overall success of the surgical department.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary: Tk. 14,810 per month gross. Other benefits include provident fund, festival allowance once per year, and critical illness and death benefit.
