Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Experience in teaching/ school supervision.

  • Good understanding of educational pedagogy, assessment practices, Lesson planning etc.

  • Able to conduct classes in the English Language and support assistant teachers on the same.

  • Ability to work independently and Cultural diversity in a multicultural environment.

  • Familiarity with the English-Medium curriculum and its implementation.

  • Demonstrative ability to work with diverse and marginalized communities.



Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications for the School Supervisor-Secondary for implementing `Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)

Duration: 01 July 2026 to 31 December 2026.

C. Key Areas of Performance/ Responsibility/ Accountability:

C. 1. Planning and Implementation:

  1. Provide support/ guidance to the Academic Support Assistant/ Teachers and play a key role in implementing the Pearson curriculum.

  1. Prepare a monthly school-based action plan.

  1. Facilitate regular assigned classes as per the class routine and also demonstrate a model class for others at least once a month.

  1. Ensure proper implementation of school activities by providing advice, guidance and technical support in consultation with the Technical Officer.

  1. Ensuring more than 90% student attendance in the class and 100% teacher attendance. Keep up to date on the daily attendance information of teachers and students.

  1. Ensure the arrangement/ conduction/ facilitation of regular parents’ meetings, SAG meetings, and teacher meetings. Identifying the gap and taking initiative to resolve the gaps in schools in consultation with the SMC/TO/Teacher/Parents as per need.

  1. Ensuring a child-friendly and inclusive environment in schools. Decorating the school with educational materials.

  1. Ensuring overall cleanliness of students, teachers, the classroom, office room, yard, hygienic latrines and water supply in schools regularly.

  1. Ensuring biscuit feeding as per the class routine.

  1. Ensuring implementation of Child Protection, PSEA policy, Code of Conduct and Data Protection policy as provided by CODEC and UNHCR. Inform the appropriate authority within 2 hours of any breach of these policies.

  1. Ensure class activities in the absence of a teacher by following the class routine.

  1. Ensure quality education services using training, knowledge and guidance from the UNHCR and CODEC technical team.

  1. Update all types of information (student and teacher information, distribution of materials, attendance and leave information, information about various meetings, shed visits, and all necessary information about the school, including information on fixed assets).

  1. Ensuring distribution of all teaching and learning materials. Prevent misuse and damage of all types of materials, biscuits and assets.

  1. Conduct and support class-wise learners’ assessments and tests, and ensure the learning outcomes of children.

Safeguarding & PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
