Experience:

Deep expertise in jacket pattern making, construction layout, specialized sewing machinery, seam sealing & fitting.

UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Sample Manager / In-Charge (Jacket) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee end-to-end sample room operations to deliver all sample types (Proto, Fit, SMS, Size Set, PP) on schedule.
Review tech packs, measurement sheets, and buyer construction details with pattern makers and sample operators before cutting.
Provide hands-on technical guidance on complex jacket construction, sewing techniques, seam sealing, and padding/down fill handling.
Coordinate directly with merchandising, CAD/pattern, and washing teams to resolve technical and fit discrepancies promptly.
Supervise fabric and trim allocation within the sample room to prevent material shortages and minimize wastage.
Track critical sample delivery deadlines and maintain daily progress reports for merchandising and management updates.
Inspect all completed jacket samples strictly against buyer spec sheets, measurement tolerances, and quality standards prior to dispatch.
Conduct technical feasibility analyses during sample development to identify and resolve potential bulk production bottlenecks.
Prepare accurate Sample History Sheets, workmanship notes, and mock-ups for Pre-Production (PP) alignment meetings.
Demonstrate and execute critical jacket sewing operations - such as zipper setting, pocket welts, hood attachments, and lining assemblies- when required.
Manage, mentor, and evaluate sample tailors, machine operators, and quality checkers to ensure high efficiency and craftsmanship.
Attend buyer fit sessions and inline quality reviews to address feedback and implement required pattern or sewing revisions.
Enforce strict quality control standards within the department to minimize sample rework and maximize First-Time Right (FTR) rates.
Ensure proper machine maintenance, calibration, and folder/attachment setups for specialized outerwear machinery in the sample department.
Maintain an organized physical library and digital record of approved samples, master patterns, and buyer comment sheets for reference.
