Responsibilities & Context:
Equipment Operation- Arrangement
Check Operation Supervisor assigned allocation
Punctual on work timing & at assigned location.
Equipment Operation- Preparations
To undertake thorough checking of equipment before starting to work. (Includes diesel level-flipper & switches).
Check cabin cleaning and all facilities before operation.
Equipment Operation- Performance
Operate RTG cranes to lift, move, and stack containers in designated areas as instructed by ops supervisor.
Ensure the lowering and safe landing of the spreader on the container.
Ensure containers are handled in the correct sequence and placed in the assigned slots accurately.
Update all container position in the system for grounding and shifting.
Understand and follow instructions provided via VMT and execute yard stacking strategies accordingly.
Consider container door direction when grounding in yard.
Always maintain safe and efficient working practices in compliance with SOPs.
Report any mechanical issues, defects, container damage or abnormalities immediately to the Supervisor and controller.
Start-up & shut down procedures and securing of the RTG in accordance with SOP.
Liaise with controller and Ops supervisor to stay updated on working crane areas and instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in and around the RTG operating cabin.
