Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage the logistics of all merchandise from dock to selling floor to ensure efficiency in stock flow, compliance, and safety at all times.
∎ Identify and champion the implementation of operational process improvement across the water park retail outlets.
∎ Purchase, receive, the process returns, price, prepare and merchandise designated products through approved suppliers and in compliance with established practices to achieve goals for sales, margin, inventory turns, and labor expense.
∎ Supervise the flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
∎ Responsible for the monthly physical inventory count.
∎ Oversee merchandise support activities ensuring merchandise optimization in stores.
∎ Guide merchandising planogram development in partnership with sales and product teams to optimize sales across product categories.
∎ Monitor stock levels by category and product to identify the fast/slow-moving items and work with the merchandise team on action plans such as price changes / re-merchandising / cancellations or re-orders.
∎ To reduce stock loss in store. Observes safety and security procedures. Reports any misuse or theft of stock to merchandising manager.
∎ Focus on inventory optimization.
∎ Provide updates to the business with meetings, presentations, and weekly/monthly reports.
∎ Translate annual strategic plans into functional specific goals and drive/learn from results.
∎ Partner with Finance and Buying partners to create annual and seasonal inventory plans that support optimal client experience while enabling the realization of financial goals
∎ Ensure compliance with processes that remain efficient, effective, and streamlined
∎ Identify and champion the implementation of operational process improvement across the stores
∎ Responsible for the induction and development of the team by providing on-the-job training and assessing progress, through written reviews and probations.
∎ Maintain shrinkage strategy and manage implementation including communication, education, monitoring, review, and support.
∎ Manage rotes ensuring adequate cover for the shop floor for customer service opening & closing times, and replenishment. Sending a month in advance to the team.
∎ To ensure outstanding presentation and visual merchandising standards are always maintained. Ensure the shop is tidy, clean, and full at the end of the day.
∎ Ensure all staff is kept up to date on changes to products, offers, and promotions.
∎ Carry out annual performance reviews on each team member to manage and motivate individuals as well as provide clear direction and support.
∎ Completing and updating all retail targets and communicating to the team.
∎ To ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
