Job Context:
∎ VOICE ( Voices for Interactive Choice and Empowerment, a reputed research and advocacy organization working based on human rights based approach, has been awarded a project titled INTERACT (Initiative for Tactical Engagement and Robust Actions for Controlling Tobacco) by Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK) for a year. VOICE is looking for suitable candidates for this project.
∎ The Research and Investigation Coordinator is responsible for overall leadership and management of the project titled "INTERACT (Initiative for Tactical Engagement and Robust Actions for Controlling Tobacco)" in order to achieve the program outcomes and goal as per approved program design and managing relationship with partner and the team. This position will ensure project planning & implementation, monitoring, research and investigation, budget preparing, prepare all reports and documents taking inputs from the team members and partner in time and required proactive activities to ensure smooth operations in the project.
∎ Job Location - Dhaka with extensive field visits.
∎ Job Nature - Contractual but full time.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Implementation and Operation:
∎ Planning, management and implementation of the project on tobacco control.
∎ Overall responsibility to conduct research and investigation of the project, particularly on tobacco industries.
∎ Supervising the INTERACT project of VOICE and will remain responsible quality implementation of activities in line with the goal and objectives of the organization and as per guideline of CTFK team in Bangladesh..
∎ Advocacy with policy makers (MPs, Ministries etc)
∎ Monitoring program activities which are performed by the project staffs. Also engaged in relation to all concerned progress and logistics.
∎ Preparing annual report of the organization and circulation to concerned stakeholders.
∎ To provide strategic inputs in program designing, program management, linking local campaign to global civil society movement.
∎ Maintain liaison with BI grantee and other anti-tobacco organizations and activists
∎ Development of Project Proposal, Resource Mobilization & Fund Raising:
∎ Research and Investigation Coordinator will also be responsible in preparation of project documents, proposals, concept papers, reports etc. for resource mobilization for new projects, and also for documentation of the on-going project.
∎ Research and Investigation Coordinator will maintain contacts (based on requirement) with the existing donor, report to the donors, and shall explore the possibilities of resource mobilization for entering into project partnership with new organizations/agencies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s) in NGO activities, mainly in research and advocacy.
∎ The applicants should have experience in national or International development organizations (NGOs)
∎ Proven management and leadership ability.
∎ Effective communication skills.
∎ Proven experience as a team player.
∎ Previous track record on Tobacco Control movement.
∎ Demonstrated collaboration & team building skills.
∎ Strong analytical skills and capacity to liaison with the donor
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Strong political awareness and judgment.
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities.
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel & MS PowerPoint).
Salary: Tk. 65000 (Monthly)
