About the Role

  • Voices for Interactive Choice and Empowerment (VOICE) is seeking a motivated and committed Programme Support Assistant to support its flagship project focused on journalists’ safety. The position is ideal for early- to mid-career professionals who are passionate about press freedom, freedom of expression, and civic space, and who are interested in project implementation through advocacy and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Programme Support Assistant will work closely with the project team and management to support the following activities:

  • Assist in systematic media monitoring related to human rights violation, particularly related to press freedom and journalists’ safety.

  • Support the planning and management of advocacy events, consultations, and meetings with key stakeholders.

  • Contribute to project communications, including social media management, content development, and media relations to ensure maximum visibility and coverage.

  • Liaise with journalists and media professionals on safety-related issues and document emerging concerns.

  • Assist in proposal writing, concept notes, and other documentation for resource mobilization.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management in line with project objectives.
