Job Context:
∎ To implement a project on Privacy, data protection and digital ecosystem, VOICE is seeking applications for Research, Advocacy and Network Coordinator from qualified candidates in immediate basis. This is a contractual but full-time position for 10 months intending to start from first week of October 2022.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka with filed visit
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage the effective implementation of privacy, data protection and digital safety initiatives,
∎ Conduct baseline survey and research on privacy and data protection,
∎ Provide technical and capacity building support to team members as well as media professionals,
∎ Develop content, curriculum on privacy and data protection and effectively run social media campaign.
∎ Project Management
∎ Lead the management and planning of a variety of consultations, trainings, and meetings on privacy, digital rights and safety issues,
∎ Oversee project logistics and monitor projects' progresses, including documentation, evaluation, and reporting,
∎ Maintain and file documentation in an organised and efficient manner,
∎ Develop workplans and timelines, and monitor their progress,
∎ Strategic Plan and Implementation
∎ Contribute to the privacy, data protection, digital safety program strategy development,
∎ Coordinate collaborative design and consultation processes with the stakeholders,
∎ Assist and provide leadership in developing privacy and data protection measures in the digital ecosystem.
∎ Networking and Partnership Building
∎ Develop and maintain partnerships with NGOs and journalists working in digital ecosystem,
∎ Promote relevant materials and publications and disseminate to the stakeholders.
∎ Trainings and Event Management
∎ Coordinate and plan a variety of consultations, trainings, and meetings,
∎ Provide capacity building training to journalists and civil society members,
∎ Design training agendas and prepare and compile relevant training and educational resources,
∎ Actively learn from the field, including documenting and sharing relevant knowledge.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have 5 years' experience in the field of privacy and data protection, digital rights and safety project management, project planning & implementation,
∎ Have solid understanding of privacy and data protection, digital rights and digital security concepts and implementation,
∎ Highly adept and innovative in using current and emerging technologies,
∎ Experience of research, advocacy, communications, networking and supervision, monitoring & evaluation of implementing programs in any reputed NGOs.
∎ Must be fluent in English and have excellent report writing capacity both in Bangla and English
∎ Motivated, self-organised and active in taking initiative,
∎ Familiarity working in online workplaces with decentralized teams,
∎ Ability to coordinate a team, work under pressure, and deliver on deadlines.
Salary:
∎ 40,000-50,000 BDT per month, (consolidated). Salary varies based on experience.
