Educational Requirements:
∎ MS in Agronomy, Crop Botany or Horticulture with good educational track record
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Job Summary: The "R&D and Innovation Officer" will be responsible for planning, conducting on site action research activities on varietal trial, cultivation methodology, new crop establishment, agro technology testing and perfection, etc. as sustainable solution for smallholders.
∎ Relationships: S/he will be reportable to the Program Manager, Agriservices and maintain proper working relationship with the Agriservices team.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design action plan, budget and layout of field based R&D station for conducting action research in agriculture
∎ Trial, demonstration, data collection and report preparation for the research components through regular monitoring
∎ Detail analysis of research data and prepare research report for future reference
∎ Multi-location trial and demonstration for farmers adaptation at farmers' field
∎ Design simple communication material for communicating the research results with the farmers
∎ Proper documentation, achieving and software based reporting from R&D research to farmers field demonstration to commercialization
∎ Communicate with different organizations for sourcing trial materials
∎ Any other specific areas of responsibilities shall be assigned
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one year of field experience on Agricultural research in any reputed organization and reputed agri business company
∎ Sound knowledge on research activities
∎ Good command on MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
∎ Good oral and written communication skills in both Bangla and English
∎ Willingness to work at R&D station and travel project locations as required
∎ Motivated, pro-active, team player and able to work in multicultural environment
