Job Context:
∎ The Radiologist will be responsible for using specialized medical imaging equipment to determine a patient`s internal injuries or illnesses and communicating with Physicians about their findings to determine patient needs.
∎ Duty Station: Ukhiya Specialized Hospital, Ukhiya, Bangladesh
∎ Report To: Health and Nutrition Program Manager
∎ Expected Start Date: TBA
∎ Contract length: Five and half Months.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
∎ Under the guidance of the Health and Nutrition Program Manager, the Radiologist will be responsible for-
∎ Reviewing and interpreting medical images to determine patient status and future medical care.
∎ Compiling written reports of results and diagnoses.
∎ Determining the exact images required for diagnosis and directing radiographers accordingly.
∎ Administering trace amounts of radioactive substances to create and enhance diagnostic images.
∎ Informing patients about the medical imaging process.
∎ Collaborating with other medical professional in the hospital.
∎ Creating a radiation treatment plan for patients with cancer.
∎ Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patients.
∎ Health & Safety
∎ Comply with established health and safety policies with regard to handling of instruments, storage of drugs and disposal of sharps and other potentially dangerous equipment and substances. Comply with current NZ legislation.
∎ IPC Management and others
∎ Provide training on IPC, donning and doffing of PPE items.
∎ Monitor triage, early recognition and source control.
∎ Supervise instrument processing.
∎ Monitor waste management in the hospital.
∎ Contribute in ensuring the safeguarding in the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 2 (two) year working experience in similar position.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field, public health sector and in medical emergencies. Experience with refugee health will be an added advantage.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
∎ Previous experience in development project at an international organization is an advantage.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
∎ Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively in written and spoken English.
∎ Enthusiasm to learn.
∎ Optimistic and friendly.
∎ Flexibility.
Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one Gross salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly Gross salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary
