Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct thorough inspections of garments at various stages of production (e.g., raw materials, in-process, finished goods) to ensure they meet quality standards.
∎ Work closely with suppliers to communicate quality standards, provide feedback on product quality, and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
∎ Ensure that all garments comply with local and international quality standards, as well as the specific requirements of clients.
∎ Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and any quality-related issues or corrective actions taken.
∎ Review and approve garment samples before mass production, ensuring they meet the design specifications and quality requirements.
∎ Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
∎ Investigate and resolve any quality issues that arise during production or after delivery, coordinating with relevant teams to implement corrective measures.
∎ Communicate with clients regarding quality standards and specifications, addressing any concerns or requirements they may have.
∎ Provide training and guidance to suppliers and internal teams on quality standards and best practices.
∎ The Garments Buying House Quality Assurance Officer ensures that all garments sourced or produced by the buying house meet the specified quality standards. This involves conducting inspections, overseeing quality control processes, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve any quality issues.
