Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s Degree in Psychology (Clinical/Counseling/Educational Psychology preferable)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Psychosocial Counselor will work directly under supervision of Psychosocial Counseling Supervisor to strengthen psychosocial support services.
∎ Provide structured psychosocial support services (PSS) in a participatory manner in the camp level.
∎ Plan and monitor individual psychosocial support services in collaboration with community volunteers and others
∎ Provide the psychosocial support services to the GBV Survivors
∎ Ensure timely referral and follow up of cases in need of further support
∎ Submit daily, bi-weekly and monthly reports and work plan before deadline
∎ Monitor indicators and targets of the Clients and collect daily data and share it with Psychosocial counseling supervisor
∎ Contribute to data entry and analysis of gathered information
∎ She/he will ensure consistency in the psychosocial activities across different locations, initiate and lead meetings for sharing and learning and continuous improvement of activities through the development and maintaining link with other PSS actors
∎ Any other relevant activities as per the program requirement and full JD
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 02 year(s) in relevant experience in emergency response/humanitarian field
∎ Minimum 02 years work experience in emergency response/humanitarian field with/NGOs and UN agencies
∎ Proven experience in similar role will be given preference
∎ Strong communication and analytical report writing skills both in English and Bangla
∎ Proficient in Office management, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Tools
∎ Negotiation skills, motivational skills, team building skills are required
∎ Ability to work under pressure, multitask and maintain deadlines
