Job Context:
∎ Project/Program : GFEMS - OKUP
∎ Probation Period : 3 months
∎ Job Type : Contractual - Fixed Term (until 30th April 2022)
∎ Reported to : Project Manager
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct initial needs assessment of every survivor migrant worker and prepare case history report jointly with the Case management officer as soon as they are registered in OKUP shelter home for services
∎ Develop trauma informed therapeutic and treatment plans based on clients' interests, abilities, and needs and ensure treatment to each beneficiary during their stay in the shelter and after their return to home following 'do no harm' principle
∎ Provide counseling to the families and the communities of the survivor migrant workers for smooth reintegration in the family and the community
∎ Maintain personal profile of each client and ensure keeping appropriate records of assessment, support and services provided with, follow-up updates, results, case closure etc.
∎ Ensure adequate support including shelter-home and other services are planned to be provided to each individual client in cooperation with shelter home assistant, case management officer and social worker
∎ Ensure regular follow-up and monitoring of each individual client and measure their improvements regular basis by interview, test results, observation etc. and keep proper records either through apps or database
∎ Prepare fortnightly updates of each client and prepare a brief combined report of all clients
∎ Prepare quarterly and annual narrative reports on the provided services in line with the project inputs, outputs and impacts
∎ Prepare success stories of individual case, lessons learned, and good practice bi-annual basis
∎ Develop counseling materials and contents (flipchart, poster etc.) in line with the requirements of the services, and a complete content and module to follow to provide psychosocial counseling
∎ Maintain strong collaboration with related government and non-government stakeholders both at local and national level
∎ Maintain proper discretion and confidentiality of each individual client, build trust with them, their families, peers and community
∎ Evaluate the results of counseling methods to determine the reliability and validity of treatments bi-annually
∎ Represent OKUP when and where necessary
∎ Ensure high standards in financial and logistics management to meet accountability and transparency
∎ This list of duties and responsibilities is by no means exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as required
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in providing psychosocial counseling in any reputed organization
∎ Working experiences with the most vulnerable people like traumatized person, children, physically challenged people, survivors of sexual abuse or exploitation etc. will get priority
∎ Strong interpersonal skills in liaising, communicating and engaging with colleagues and external audiences
∎ Pro-activeness and leadership capacity, extrovert and ability to work with diverse team
∎ Excellent oral and written skills in English and Bangla
∎ Ability to meet deadline and work under pressure
∎ Self-motivated, proactive and target oriented
∎ Self-starter, proactive, positive and target oriented
∎ Capability of working in challenging and demanding situations.
∎ Ability to work in a team
∎ Willingness to work in a flexible schedule and travel in Bangladesh
∎ Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Able to manage multiple priorities/ multitasking
∎ Good report writing along with analytical skills
∎ Excellent problem solving skills
∎ Excellent risk management and cost control skills
Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
