Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for position of PSS Officer from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing `Education and Protection for Refugee Children (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at, Ukhiya and Teknaf in Cox`s Bazar District.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Provided Psychosocial Support (PSS) to the children at CFS.

  • Corner based different activates accomplishment at CFS

  • Ensure Corner and master register of targeted children at CFS.

  • Assist in implementation of Adolescent program.

  • Organize mobile CFS activates at working area.

  • Organize monthly meeting with Parents.

  • Organize and arrange CFS based simulative and recreational activates (IPT, Peer Group session, Day observation)

  • Assist Centre Manager in different program arrangement and execution and data collection for different reports and papers.

  • Set the cornerwise material for children.

  • Information collection and file up of vulnerable children and refer to case management.

  • Ensure the quality services in CFS adhere the child safe guarding policy.

  • Need to provide weekly assessment report of corner.

  • Provide requisition to Center Manager for corner based material and maintain properly.

  • Daily Shed visit for ensuring the presence of targeted children at CFS.

  • Submit monthly work plan and accomplishment report to Center Manager.

    Safegurding and PSEA

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
