Experience:

• At least 3 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

• At least 3 years

• Age At most 45 years

• At least 3 years working experience in any national or international NGOs, CCA, DRR and livelihood diversification project implementation and management;

• Knowledge regarding Disaster Management;

• Able to multi-task, solve problem and deal with complex relationships and situations;

• Committed to safeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable adults;

• Knowledge in rights-based community development, Education, Income Generation/ Livelihood, Market Linkage, WASH, Protection, DRR/ Tree plantation and other related areas;

• Willingness to learn;

• Educational requirement is flexible in case of experienced female candidates/ or highly working experienced male candidates in the sector;

• Age and Education may be relaxed for highly deserving candidates.

Under the supervision of the Coordinator - Emergency & Humanitarian Responses, the Project Officer under Transboundary Flood Resilience Project will be responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating protection initiatives within the communities under the project. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the emergency responses, climate vulnerabilities, climate smart agriculture practices, and the participation of individuals in actions, particularly women, children, persons with disabilities, and youth. The Project Officer will work closely with Field Facilitators, volunteers, and relevant stakeholders to integrate the interventions across various sectors, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.

The position is based in Kurigram and have to move Upazila/ Union level with to all working areas. Project Officer will assist in project planning, advocacy and networking, resource mobilization. Fulfil target beneficiaries of Flood insurance within deadline.

Major responsibilities of this position are as follows:

• She/he will –Develop and implement community-based response strategies to assess the needs of vulnerable individuals in the communities.
• Provide technical support to the project team;
• Arrange capacity building initiatives for the Field Facilitators,Mobilize local communities for ensuring flood insurance initiatives at local level;
• Coordinate and collaborate with local government, relevant upazila and district level Government departments, private sectors, NGOs, civil societies and relevant partners;
• Provide day-to- day operational support to the Field Facilitator including performance management, capacity building etc.;
• Ensure timely execution of Detailed Implementation Plan by ensuring quality and setting strategies and guidelines;
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual progress report, success story and other reports as per requirement of the project;
• Ensure day-to-day data check, update and valid those on software;
• Follow up and assist Ward/Union/Upazila/Federation Disaster Management Committee meetings, Volunteers meetings and Farmers Hub-Meeting, Group meeting, Yard meeting etc.;
• Assist Field Facilitators to conduct awareness session at community level;
• Understand Gender and organizational Gender Policy and act accordingly;
• Organize and conduct project study and evaluations in collaboration with partners and stakeholders;
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the line management;
