Job Responsibilities:
∎ Major responsibilities for the position are-
∎ Meeting / Dialogue to increase functional Coordination with Union, Upazila and District Disaster Management Committees and relevant GO-NGO Service Providers;
∎ Capacity Building of UDMC, UzDMC and DDMC on Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Poverty Reduction;
∎ Strengthening of early warning message dissemination mechanism;
∎ Organize different kinds of workshop at Upazila, District, Regional and National level;
∎ Formation Transboundary (Nepal, India and Bangladesh) Citizen forum and sharing a best practice in Regional Forums i.e. Act Alliance, AZEECON, Peoples of SAARC;
∎ Provide technical insights and clarity to the program staff on interventions related to community based disaster management and climate change adaptation;
∎ Support on Flood & Climate Resilient Agriculture, Off-farm skills training and Business planning;
∎ Responsible to prepare Project Reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years working experience in relevant activities in Development Organization.
∎ Excellent skills in generating reports.
∎ Liaison capacity with different donors and GO/NGO.
∎ Excellent computer skills (MS Word,Excel, PowerPoint).
∎ Good interpersonal communication skill and command over English and Bangla-both spoken and written.
∎ Ability to work under stressful situation and meet deadlines.
Salary: Tk. 31500 (Monthly)
