Job Context:
∎ Social and Economic Enhancement Program (SEEP) is a Child Rights Based Non-Government Organization established in 1986. SEEP works for the empowerment and participation of disadvantaged and victim children in Bangladesh (both boys and girls, including children with different abilities), and their parents and community, so that they can protect and promote child rights.
∎ SEEP is going to implement "Safe Back to School Community based Integrated Case Management Project" under the supervision of Save the Children International. This project will be implemented at Mirpur and Dhamsona Union in Dhaka District. The aim of the Community based integrated case management model is to encourage community members including child protection committees, school management committees, parent teacher associations and community health workers, to promote children`s attendance at school and work together to holistically address barriers to education.
∎ Duration: Duration of the contract will be up to 30th June, 2022.
∎ Position Title: Project Officer under Safe Back to School Community level Integrated Case Management (SB2S CCM) Project
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in vulnerability mapping/assessment of children
∎ Organize coordination meeting for strengthening Collaboration/coordination among service providers
∎ Organize dialogue sessions between service providers and service recipients to ensure proper and sustainable services
∎ Provide services through referral (Health, Mental health clinical support, Legal service, social protection schemes etc.)
∎ Organize meeting with DSS for linking the children with social protection schemes
∎ Provide play and recreational materials for the children
∎ Provide primary health service to children
∎ Facilitate Birth registration for children in need
∎ Coordination with School Management Committee and local level education officials on SB2S.
∎ Organize community awareness campaign (miking, rickshaw paint, dissemination of digital messages) event including day observations
∎ Develop Agreement with the local cable operator and ensure delivery of awareness messages on SB2S through the local cable channel
∎ Conduct orientation sessions for children, parents and local duty bearers on Child Rights, Child Protection, Child safeguarding
∎ Support CMC & CSs to conduct vulnerability mapping process in coordination with the project team and SC
∎ Ensure proper documentation of activities, learning, challenges, and results of the project
∎ Supervise and provide timely support to the field staff
∎ Maintain regular communication with children, parents, local duty bearers and service providers
∎ Prepare periodic quality reports of the activity accomplished as per monthly plan
∎ Assist/guide/supervise the staff in the field with necessary directives for the smooth operation of the project activities
∎ Make necessary field visit to assess the quality of the action the project and keep notes of the findings
Additional Requirements:
∎ Ability to work with school management committee and government officials.
∎ Hard-worker, strong initiative and autonomy, result-oriented and constructive mind, interpersonal skills
∎ Ability and willingness to travel to the field.
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
∎ Ability to work independently and as a team player; in coordination with case worker and community educator.
∎ Ability to operate effectively under extreme circumstances including stress, high security risks and harsh living conditions. Works and lives with a flexible, adaptable and resilient manner.
∎ Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. Have experience and the ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts in a culturally appropriate manner. Has a capacity to make accurate self-assessment particularly in high stress and high security contexts.
∎ Knowledge of NGO Code of Conduct. Telecommunication skills and proficiency in information technology/ computer skills.
