Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
Experience working in the field with local communities, NGOs, or Red Cross/Red Crescent operations.
Strong understanding of community-based approaches and participatory methods.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
Fluency in Bengali and English, both written and spoken.
Willing to travel and operate in demanding environments.
Duration of Contract: 1 year (with possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and availability of fund)

Job Purpose
The Project Officer (P2H Project) will support the effective implementation of the EU-funded Pathways to Healing initiative under the supervision of the Project Manager. The role focuses on field-level execution of project activities, including community engagement, monitoring, reporting, and coordination with stakeholders. The Project Officer will deliver unit-level interventions in close collaboration with the BDRCS NHQ team, while establishing networks with district authorities, local government, and community actors. The position ensures compliance with EU and IFRC standards, and contributes to the successful implementation, accountability, and sustainability of project outcomes.
This position requires frequent travel from the original workstation. The candidate may also be assigned to another district if necessary for project activities.
Job Description/ Responsibilities-
1. Project Implementation & Management
Ensure the efficient implementation of project activities in line with approved project plans, timelines, and budget.
Monitor and evaluate project activities and progress at the field level.
Coordinate with local communities, local government authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of activities.
Prepare the cash forecast and cash request timely for submission and also manages financial settlements with NHQ.
Participate in regular planning and review meetings with the Project Manager (BDRCS) and IFRC team.
Maintain detailed records of completed activities and support activity planning.
2. Community Engagement & Support
Facilitate awareness campaigns, workshops, and training programs.
Ensure active involvement of community members in decision-making processes.
Address beneficiary concerns and feedback to improve the project`s effectiveness.
Integrate Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA), Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI), and green response in all activities.
3. Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor field-level data collection, reporting, and documentation.
Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and key stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
Ensure the timely submission of activity and financial reports, as required.
Document lessons learned, best practices, and case studies.
Ensure compliance with EU and IFRC standards and maintain audit-ready documentation.
4. Team Coordination & Support
Supervise and support field-based volunteers, and community-based organizations (CBOs).
Ensure volunteers follow BDRCS and IFRC guidelines, including safeguarding and code of conduct.
Organize and participate in field visits to ensure quality assurance of activities.
Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and finance, for smooth project implementation.
5. Coordination with Partners & Stakeholders
Liaise with local government authorities, partner organizations, and other humanitarian actors to ensure alignment of project activities.
Maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
Represent BDRCS in community meetings, forums, and events related to the project.
6. Resource Management
Ensure the proper utilization and management of project resources in the field.
Report any discrepancies or issues regarding resource distribution or logistics.
Assist in managing project inventories, including supplies, equipment, and materials.
